The Welfare Appeals Committee rules on appeals lodged in connection with administrative decisions as provided for in laws which allow for appeals to be made to the committee. The appeals committee is independent and autonomous in its work. The Welfare Appeals Committee method of work and procedures are based on the Welfare Appeals Committee Act, No. 85/2015.
The committee only processes appeals in Icelandic. If the appeal is not presented in Icelandic the committee will not process your case. Legal counselling for immigrants is available at the ICEHR office.
